Why You Should Care More About Colors In The World
“As the sun colors flowers, so does art color life,” -John Lubbock. This quote by John Lubbock is only ten words, but it has many meanings.  I’m  going to explain what this quote means to me. “As the sun colors flowers” means the sun helps flowers grow and gives them color. “So does art color life” means art brings colorful pictures to the eye and to our everyday existence. Color affects our emotions.   It has been used by artists over the centuries to bring pleasure and record the clothing and people of the time. Nature uses it in many ways and it is a common international language.
Color is important in many ways The most surprising reason to me is that when we look at color we have an emotional response towards that color. Here are some examples of what I mean. Blue reminds most of us of sadness.  Yellow is happy and light. We naturally match colors with emotions because it's hard to put what we feel in words. The color red is suppose to make you hungry and the color green reminds us of the plants and environment around us making it a i restful color.
The world would be a sad boring place with just black and white. Once colorful paintings would not be reflections of life and nature.  They would not record the historical events that occurred long ago. Shopping in stores would not be fun or interesting because everything would look the same. You would not know ripe fruit from unripe fruit.
In conclusion life without all the other colors would be dull and drab. The world with no color would affect nature in many ways. One way is that there wouldn’t be a lot of pollination. This  would reduce the amount of honey and flowers and plants that we have. Some animals use colors for  to scare off predators making them think they are poisonous. They use colors to blend in with their surroundings so that predators cannot see them.  Male birds are more colorful than female birds because the female must sit on the nest with the eggs and must remain unseen by predators.
